The majority of Libyan cities will witness on Friday an eclipse of the sun, according to the Libyan Centre for Remote Sensing Satellite and Space Sciences.
The phenomenon will start from the Republic of Central Africa through Uganda, Kenya, the Indian Ocean and the far south of India and Sri Lanka and end in China.
The eclipse will be partially seen in most of Libyan cities, but will differ from one region to the other, the Centre said.
The Centre warned against observing the eclipse without special spectacles stressing that this could hurt the retina or cause total blindness
